Session fees range from $185-$275. Sessions are typically 55 minutes unless we arrange for an extended session in advance. Payment will be collected at the time of service. I do have openings for a few sliding scale fee clients. Feel free to talk with me about this if finances are an issue for you.

Sessions are typically 55 minutes unless we arrange for a 90 min or two hour session in advance. We can also arrange for a longer day long or weekend deep dive which might include 5-10 hours of more intensive counseling work together. Please contact me about availability and pricing for extended sessions.

All counseling, coaching and consulting sessions are conducted virtually via zoom. Established clients can also hold some sessions by telephone, if needed. Additionally we can arrange for an extended in person deep dive in the Doylestown area (or possibly in your home in the greater Philadelphia area) for an additional fee.

To begin, we will ideally meet once a week. I find it’s important to gain some momentum in the beginning by meeting weekly or progress can stall out. Once some or all of your goals are met, meeting biweekly and then eventually monthly will make sense. We will however, co-create a rhythm and frequency that aligns for you.

Once you have made a decision to work with me, you still might be apprehensive about the process. Many people feel nervous before their first appointment. That is completely normal and I will do my best to create a safe space so you feel welcomed and safe. Counseling is a shared journey; a shared process. And, although you and I will travel together, it is ultimately your journey and you will make your own decisions. I do not have answers to all your concerns, but I do have the ability to listen carefully and will ask thoughtful questions. Your answers to these questions will help shape the direction of our work. You can expect to be deeply seen, heard respected and accepted. You can expect that I will offer feedback and suggestions from time to time but I will invite you to find agency within to make choices that are best for you.

The initial few sessions are a time for you to start to share your story, talk about your goals and what you would like to change. Another important aspect of the first few sessions is deciding if we are a good fit. Do I seem like someone you can trust? We are establishing a relationship that will become the foundation for working together. You will begin to figure out some goals; I will begin to figure out how to help you get there. Our journey will be a collaborate one, and hopefully empowering and transformational.

No, I am not a medical doctor. Many of my patients find medication is helpful, but many of them also progress well in therapy without medication. If you want to be evaluated for psychiatric medication, either contact your primary care physician or a psychiatrist. If you are interested in finding more holistic psychiatric care, I'll be happy to share some recommendations. If you are already taking medication, I can coordinate care with your doctor.

I require 48 hours notice of cancellation or you will need to pay the full fee for the appointment. An occasional exception may be made in the case of an emergency. It’s important that we meet consistently in order to make progress.

In general, the law protects the confidentiality of all communications between a client and psychotherapist. No information is disclosed without prior written permission from the client. However, there are some exceptions required by law to this rule. These exceptions include: 

• Suspected child abuse or dependant adult or elder abuse. The therapist is required to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately. 
• If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person. The therapist is required to notify the police. 
• If a client intends to harm himself or herself. The therapist will make every effort to work with the individual to ensure their safety. However, if an individual does not cooperate, additional measures may need to be taken.
